David Dusylovitch - Violinist
 

David J. Dusylovitch was born and raised in Piscataway, NJ and began studying violin in 3rd grade. David studied with Thomas Lindsay and Samuel Applebaum before attending Peabody Conservatory of Music of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he studied with Daniel Heifetz and Shirley Givens. He received bachelor’s degrees in Violin Performance and Music Education. 

David has been a teacher and performer for over 30 years. He taught in New Jersey for 25 years, and his orchestral membership includes numerous ensembles including Principal seats with the Newtown Chamber Orchestra, the Jubilate Deo Chorale and Orchestra, and the Orlando Symphony Orchestra. David has performed for the Straz Center broadway productions of Porgy and Bess, Cinderella, and Phantom of the Opera, and most recently became a member of the Tampa Oratorio Singers Orchestra. David has performed on tours to Jordan, Egypt, Spain, and Mexico. He has performed numerous concerts on cruise ships and at venues such as the main stage at Epcot Center in Orlando, the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City, the Straz Center in Tampa, and Carnegie Hall in New York City, including as a soloist with John Lithgow.

After retiring from teaching in New Jersey, David moved to the Tampa area of Florida where he currently resides. He continues to instruct both students and teachers and continues to enjoy performing as a freelance musician.

Stephen Allen - Pianist
 

Stephen L. Allen was born in Winston-Salem, NC and began his organ studies with John Mueller his senior year of high school at Salem College (North Carolina School of the Arts).  He attended Mars Hill College, Mars Hill, NC for two years and studied organ with Donna Robertson.  After an eight-year break working in textiles, he returned to college and completed a BA in Organ Performance with a double minor in Voice and Piano, studying with Schuyler Robinson at Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, NC.  He has completed work toward a Masters Degree in Organ with John Brock at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

 

Stephen has served churches in North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida and Iceland. He has accompanied the Asheville Choral Society (NC) and the Southwest Florida Symphony Chorus (Fort Myers, FL). In Olafsvik, Iceland, he taught piano, recorder, organ and 4ththrough 8thgrade music and served as the organist for the town’s Lutheran Church. 

 

Stephen holds memberships in the Presbyterian Association of Musicians, American Guild of Organists, and the Handbell Ringers of America.  He has served as chair of the Worship Planning Team of the Presbytery of Tampa Bay and has been Dean of American Guild of Organist Chapters in North Carolina, Tennessee and in Florida.

 

In October of 2014, he celebrated his 25th anniversary as Director of Music/Organist at the First Presbyterian Church of Dunedin, Florida.
